The Recipe Box
Fish Soup
Living on the coast we're always looking for more ways to cook with seafood at home. Fish is so healthy and oftentimes very affordable, yet so often people only order it out at restaurants or reserve it for simple preparations in the summertime. This is a great way to use whatever your favorite local seafood is in a soul-warming soup. Get ready for flavor!
Thai Coconut and Chicken Curry Soup
We love Thai Coconut Curry Soup and have been on the hunt for the perfect recipe. Enter Derek Bissonette's recipe from his cookbook Soup: The Ultimate Book of Soups and Stews. We hadn't even finished our bowls before we started talking about making it again. Easy enough for weeknights, but flavorful and impressive enough for a dinner party. Our favorite new way to use our Thai Seasoning!
Bulgur with Mushrooms, Feta, + Urfa Chile
The iconic Chef and Author Yotam Ottolenghi has inspired us with his cookbook Ottolenghi Simple. His modern day pairings that have middle eastern roots are simply delicious. He uses some ufra biber chili flakes that have a decadent, rich, earthy flavor that we can't get enough of. This is a precious gem that we just couldn't wait to share with you!
Sumac Seared Scallops with Mostarda
This Seared Scallop recipe has a unique twist using Sumac in place of traditional citrus. You will excite your taste buds further, by pairing Scallops with this spiced fruit preserve.
Greek Pasta Salad
We love making this pasta salad on warm summer days. The herbs and spices in the Greek Seasoning perfectly complement the pasta and other ingredients. Don’t skimp on the quality of your ingredients… using a good quality olive oil and imported feta make a huge difference.
Salsa Roja
This authentic Salsa Roja has a delicious depth of flavor. The charred smoky and spicy chiles mixed with earthy mexican oregano, floral coriander, and sweet and acidic tomatoes make for a great topping for enchiladas, tacos, or with tortilla chips.
Tuscan Garlic Bread
We love this simple preparation of delicious, flavorful garlic bread using SKORDO Tuscan Oil Blend. Crusty Italian bread, parmesan cheese, garlic, butter and the flavors of Tuscany... What's not to love? This entire recipe can be tweaked depending on your preferences (i.e. more or less garlic, more or less cheese).
Smoked Maple Salmon Spread
We served this in the shop for one of our Holiday events and it was a hit! It is incredibly simple.
Spiced Lamb and Herb Meatballs
This recipe is from one of our favorite meat cookbooks -- In the Charcuterie, written by Taylor Boetticher and Toponia Miller of San Francisco's beloved restaurant The Fatted Calf. A vibrant, warming bite we love to serve in a simple red sauce. With toasted spices and Aleppo pepper mixed throughout, the flavor is in the meat.
Southwest Queso Fundido
This version of fundido -- a Mexican fondue -- is incredibly addicting. Our Southwest Seasoning, a blend of southwest flavors like freshly ground cumin, Mexican oregano, and Spanish paprika, is a natural complement to the melted Monterey Jack cheese and the subtle heat of the poblanos.
Blistered Shishito Peppers with Togarashi
This simple preparation combines earthy Shishito peppers with one of our most popular blends, Togarashi. Togarashi is a delicious spicy Japanese blend with white sesame seeds, crushed chile flakes, and orange zest.
