Ceylon Cinnamon - Ground
Native to the island of Sri Lanka, Ground Ceylon Cinnamon, often confused with Cassia Cinnamon, is hailed as the "True Cinnamon". Unlike the spicier and bolder Cassia, Ceylon Cinnamon features a deeply complex yet subtle flavor that is warm and sweet with hints of citrus and cloves, perfect for pastries, cakes and desserts.
It also contains a much lower concentration of cinnamon oil (generally 1-2% by weight), while Cassia cinnamon typically comes in at 2-6% by weight. Because of this, many health enthusiasts swear by the Ceylon variety. Ceylon cinnamon contains anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial effects. These properties mean Ceylon cinnamon supports your immune health. Dash some in your oatmeal or yogurt for a balanced, immunity boosting start to your day.

Ceylon Cinnamon is the only cinnamon that I use in my baking, and this one, hands down, is my favorite. It isn't weak, nor does it look like tiny strands of bark like other brands do - it's finely ground appearance and especially it's flavor stands out the way cinnamon should. THIS is the cinnamon I've been looking for, so good it even makes an ordinary thing like cinnamon-sugar taste crazy-amazing sprinkled on my morning toast.
I was helped by a Skordo employee to narrow down what I was looking for in the cinnamon world and this one is great! Like the description says, it’s not the spiciest cinnamon but it’s perfect for baking, oats, and sometimes my coffee. I could never go back to cinnamon from a grocery store.
