Queso made with real cheese that has a great consistency and is super-flavorful? Yes please! We love this recipe. Using the fajita seasoning makes it super easy as well.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp. SKORDO Fajita Seasoning
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 cup non-fat milk
- 1 cup pepper jack cheese shredded
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
- 1 cup salsa verde
PREPARATION

Brown the ground beef and season with fajita seasoning.

Make the roux... Thicken your sauce by melting butter in sauté pan over medium heat and stir in the flour with a whisk. Continue to cook and whisk for 2 minutes. Whisk in milk and continue to cook on low for 3-4 minutes until thickened.

Whisk in the cheeses until smooth. Add the salsa verde and seasoned, browned (cooked) beef. Simmer on low for 5 minutes.

Serve warm with tortilla chips.
