SKORDO Poultry Brine
Use our SKORDO Poultry Brine Blend to prepare a perfect roasted bird any time of year. With our mixture of salt, sugar, spices, and herbs, your bird will be both moist and flavorful. Brining allows the bird to retain moisture as it cooks, and assures its seasoned throughout as opposed to just on the skins surface.
For a 25 pound turkey, use the entire poly bag of brine blend: 1 gallon stock : 1 gallon water
For a 5 pound chicken, use 60 grams of the brine blend : 3.5 cups stock : 3.5 cups water
Combine contents with vegetable stock over medium-high heat. Bring to boil, stirring to dissolve mixture. Remove brine from heat and cool. Combine brine and ice water in brine bag. Fully submerge thawed bird in brine. Seal bag and refrigerate 8-24 hours, turning bird halfway through. Once complete, discard brine and rinse turkey inside and out with cold water.

Loved the Skordo Poultry Brine. Kept our Spatchcocked turkey in the brine for 24 hours before smoking. Received many complements from Thanksgiving guests on how moist and flavorful our turkey was. Will definitely use again next year.
