Our Hungarian Paprika has a smoky, rich, sweet red pepper flavor that is hotter than its Spanish equivalent. It is the predominant spice and coloring in Hungarian cuisine. In fact, in Hungary, you are more likely to find paprika on the kitchen table than black pepper! Gently fried with onions, it forms the basis for goulash, veal, or chicken paprikash.

Hungarian Paprika

This was a very good price point for the quantity. I have felt that the slices sold her are very good quality and a fair price. I make chicken popykosh which uses lots of paprika. Growing up I had no idea you could cook entire dishes with paprika as the main ingredient. This slice really shines in this chicken stew. I also use it in cheese dips , on roast potatoes and scrambled eggs. Be very careful not to over cook this slice. It can taste very harsh when over cooked.
