Dried Orange Zest
Our orange zest is made from the outer peel of oranges, then minced and dried. Perfect for baking, it packs just as much flavor as fresh orange peel, but it lasts indefinitely in your pantry. Try it in marinades, vegetables, seafood, and rice dishes or any other recipe that calls for fresh orange zest. If you brew your own beer, throw some zest into your next batch of summer ale! To rehydrate, add three parts water to one-part peel let it stand for about fifteen minutes. Use about one-third of the amount of fresh orange peel that the recipe calls for.
