Allspice is best known for its pleasantly warm, fragrant aroma and carries a peppery flavor resembling a combination of Cloves, Cinnamon, and Nutmeg. Allspice - also known as Jamaica pepper - is an essential ingredient for Jerk Seasoning and also a major player in Middle Eastern cuisine. Try sprinkling it on eggplant, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, and other root vegetables for an extra bit of flavor or add a pinch of ground Allspice to cakes, desserts, and pies for a gentle, comforting taste.

Your Allspice Berries are treasures!

I used to use ground allspice from the grocery store. But I started grinding my own from SKORDO and wow. I use them in a marinade for steak which I make with lime juice, coconut aminos, garlic and sesame oil. The flavor is so much fresher, more complex and delicious using whole berries. After I marinate the steaks, I put them on the grill and boil the marinade for five minutes into a syrup. Then add a few pats of cold butter off the flame to make a succulent sauce. Delicious!
