Sazon Spice Blend

$7.00

Size

Sazon, a staple in Puerto Rican and other Caribbean dishes, has a mild, smooth flavor that has subtle garlic and onion notes with herby undertones and is a perfect way to add flavor to a dish without adding heat. Sprinkle it in Hispanic dishes like rice, beans, fajitas, tacos, burritos and enchiladas. We also add it to Latin American soups and stews, grilled beef, chicken and pork, and steamed vegetables like broccoli, green beans and baked potatoes. Because our Sazon is made with ground achiote seeds, it will also add a beautiful red hue to anything it touches!

I Found A New Favorite

For me this is a good alternative to Taco seasoning. Sazon has a warm, full, bright taste like taco seasoning, but without the bite or heat of chili. It leaves a slightly spicy tingle at the end of your tongue that is enjoyable for those who appose heat but care for a warm smooth spice. I use it on baked chicken, in ground beef, on roasted vegetables, and in bean stews. I’m sure to find many other applications since I have discovered it’s brilliance!

Sazon is a star!

The Sazon blend captures that great Caribbean/Indian spice and flavor expertly. Sazon is an excellent way to add spice and flavor to a dish or dry rub, without adding a bunch of heat to go with it. Make sure to use a spoon for measurement, or it will color your hand red. (and make it delicious) My favorite dish I've made with it is Caribbean Style Turkey Burger "Sliders," and the Sazon is the absolute star, giving the turkey a wonderful cross between Hispanic and Indian flavors. Try it in place of Old Bay on your fries or seafood, or make it part of your next dry rub for ribs or lamb.
