If you're looking for a refreshing sweet heat cocktail for Cinco de Mayo (or any day of the week) look no further! This citrusy Paloma with a kick is the perfect 5 o'clock beverage on 5/5!
This beverage is gluten-free, additive-free, salt-free, and vegan.
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Blanco Tequila (of choice)
- .75 oz Lime Juice (fresh squeezed is our preference)
- .75 oz Grapefruit Juice
- .5 oz Homemade Simple Syrup
- 2 tbsp Habanero Sugar
- 8 oz Ice
To Make:
1. When making a simple syrup, combine equal parts granulated sugar with hot water until dissolved (about 8 oz to 8 oz )
2. Combine tequila, lime juice, grapefruit juice, and simple syrup with ice into a cocktail shaker, and shake.
3. Swipe the rim of a 12 oz. glass with garnish of lime or grapefruit and dip into the habanero sugar (best to pour onto plate).
4. Garnish sugar rimmed glass with fresh lime and grapefruit and pour cocktail from shaker with ice and enjoy!
