Achiote Seeds - Ground
If you've been served authentic fish tacos or enchiladas sprinkled with a bright red dust, it was probably Achiote. Indispensable in Latin Cuisine, it adds an earthy, sweet, and tomato-like flavor and brilliant color. Also called Annatto, Achiote is complimentary to a wide variety of dishes. Add it to a marinade for kabobs and skewers, create a dry spice rub for grilled meat, or give your routine rice dishes an extra punch. We've found it to work splendidly with meals that include eggs, legumes, okra, onions, and tomatoes.
