Turmeric - Ground
Turmeric, with its gingery citrus aroma, is a signature spice in Indian, Southeast Asian, and Middle Eastern cuisine. You will use turmeric primarily in curries and masalas, but you can also use it in North African tagines and stews. If feeling experimental, try adding some turmeric to tomato soup or sprinkle some over gnocchi. If you are a baker, sprinkle with cinnamon into dough to enhance the color and smell of baked bread.
Try it in these recipes:
- Lemon Turmeric Lentil Soup
- Turmeric Coconut Smoothie Bowl
- Advieh Roasted Chicken
- Carrot, Onion, and Spinach Bhajis

I made the greatest, delicious Turmeric Sweet Pickle Sticks and Bread & Butter Pickles. Nice to have the larger bags of Turmeric, Mustard Seed, and Celery Seed available for canning pickles.
