Tunisian Tagine - Painted
We sourced these beautiful tagines for you from Tunisia. Their conical shape makes a uniquely moist and very hot cooking environment while the clay material imparts a deep earthy flavor. Tagines are staples in North African kitchens and are commonly used to stew vegetables, chicken, lamb, pork, or sausage.
We love to cook traditional North African ingredients -- think lamb, eggplant, chickpeas -- long and slow in our tagine. Flavor it with our Ras el Hanout spice blend, ginger, garlic, and some cilantro, and you have yourself an authentic Tunisian stew.
Care: Season tagine before use with the provided seasoning instructions. For use in oven no higher than 350F. Can also be used on stovetop on low-medium heat with a diffuser. Remember not to expose tagine to extreme temperature changes to preserve life & strength of vessel.
