Tien Tsin Chile Peppers - Dried
Tien Tsin chiles are considered hot, with a musty and sharp taste. Very common in Asian cooking, they are also referred to as Chinese red peppers. Use them in chicken curries and Szechuan style seafood recipes or use them in Creole style dishes instead of the traditional Cayenne for a nice twist in flavor. With a rich, red color, they give Kung Pao Chicken it's signature hue.
Consider using a chile pepper grinder if you are not rehydrating them first.
