Shiitake Mushrooms - Dried


Dried Shiitake mushrooms have a meaty, earthy richness and are praised by cooks for their umami flavor which develops over the drying period. Saute Shiitake for a wonderful companion to meat, pasta, or rice. Because of it's rich flavor, the sauteed mushrooms can also be added to vegetarian dishes in the place of meat. Use them to create a deep, rich mushroom gravy or sauce over pasta and rice.
