Burst Indigo Shibori Tea Towel
Add stunning color and texture to your kitchen with this gorgeous handmade Shibori tea towel.
Shibori is the Japanese art of shaped resist dyeing. Textiles are compressed by binding, wrapping, stitching & folding techniques that create a resist when dyed. While each piece is similarly wrapped, all are unique due to the hand tied and hand dyed process.
About the maker, Fiber + Mud: Based in Pachaug, Connecticut, Lori Dziedzic is a farmer and textile dyer. She grows indigo and other natural dye plants and weave with fiber donated by her herd of alpaca. An ever-evolving farm, Lori started out breeding huacaya alpaca for their fiber, which she spins and dyes. In the past few years her farm was transitioned to a dye farm, where madder and weld along with indigo are grown - primary colors!
Care: Warm/hot wash, tumble dry. No bleeding or fading. Remove from dryer promptly, no iron.
