The Birdseye Chile, native to Africa, is considered one of the hottest chiles in the world. It has a very clean flavor but, because of its heat, it has less depth than other chiles. Make sure to wash your hands after handling and avoid contact with your eyes or nose. After (cautiously) handling the chile, use it in soups, stews, chicken dishes, and hot sauces.
Consider using a chile grinder if you are not rehydrating them first.
