Description

White sesame seeds have the aroma of slightly caramelized milk, vanilla, toasted peanuts, and honey. They are simply black sesame seeds with their shells removed and are often considered less bitter than whole black sesame seeds. Sesame seeds can also be roasted, crushed and then sprinkled over salads for an interesting texture. We love adding them to stir fry, Asian slaw, and teriyaki pork loin. Also, white sesame seeds are the basis for Tahini, a paste commonly used in hummus.
